Regular Season Round 16: Indios SFM - Huracanes PP 98-87

Date: August 4, 2016
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Huracanes PP in a game in San Francisco versus Indios SFM (#8) 98-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Huracanes PP. The game was mostly controlled by Indios SFM. Huracanes PP managed to win third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by American swingman Omar Reed (200-87, college: Bluefield, agency: Haylett Sports) who scored that evening 22 points and 8 rebounds and guard Luis Flores (188-81, college: Manhattan, agency: 011 Sports) supported him with 24 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Indios SFM players scored in double figures. Even 18 points by American guard John Taylor (185-89, college: Fresno Pacific) did not help to save the game for Huracanes PP. His fellow American import guard Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) added 19 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Indios SFM (4-11) moved-up to seventh place. Loser Huracanes PP keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. They share it with Caneros LR. Indios SFM will meet at home bottom-ranked Reales LV (#8) in the next round. Huracanes PP will have a break next round.
