Henan outscored Guangxi to take 2-0 lead in the quarterfinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Henan. Guangxi was better in third quarter 26-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Guangxi's 38. Henan forced 26 Guangxi turnovers. American power forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee Services) had a double-double by scoring 28 points, 21 rebounds and 5 blocks (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and FYR Macedonian-American point guard Darius Washington (188-85, college: Memphis) chipped in 30 points during the contest. American forward Tony Mitchell (203-92, college: N.Texas) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and forward YongGang Zhao (202-82) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
