Regular Season Round 18: Indios SFM - Metros STGO 76-82

Leader Metros STGO delivered the seventeenth victory. This time they beat 7th ranked Indios SFM (4-13) 82-76 in San Francisco. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Indios SFM won third quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Metros STGO forced 20 Indios SFM turnovers. Strangely Indios SFM outrebounded Metros STGO 46-30 including 37 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American Robert Glenn (203-89, college: IUPUI) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. Point guard Adris De Leon (180-84, college: E.Washington) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Naturalized Spanish center Jhonatan Araujo (208-96) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds and guard Luis Flores (188-81, college: Manhattan, agency: 011 Sports) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Indios SFM. Four Metros STGO and five Indios SFM players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Metros STGO (17-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Indios SFM at the other side dropped to the bottom place with 13 games lost. Metros STGO will play against Huracanes PP (#6) in Puerto Plata in the next round where they are favorite. Indios SFM will have a break next round.
