Regular Season Round 19: Huracanes PP - Reales LV 93-91 OT

Seventh-ranked Reales LV (4-13) was very close to win a game against fifth ranked Huracanes PP (8-10) in Puerto Plata on Wednesday. Huracanes PP managed to secure only two-point victory 93-91. However their fans expected easier game. Reales LV was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 22-15 charge of Huracanes PP, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 14-12. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Dar Tucker (193-88, college: De Paul) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. Naturalized Spanish power forward Alexis Montas (202-79) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Huracanes PP's coach used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Devin Green (201-82, college: Hampton, agency: Interperformances) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Juan Coronado (193-83) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Reales LV. Five Reales LV players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Huracanes PP went down to sixth position due to points difference. Reales LV lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 13 games lost. Huracanes PP will face Indios SFM (#7) in San Francisco in the next round. Reales LV will play at home against Indios SFM and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
