Regular Season Round 3: Caballos - Aguilas 82-86

Date: August 14, 2016
The game in Aguadulce was also quite interesting. Aguilas (2-1) played at the court of Caballos (0-3). Aguilas managed to secure a 4-point victory 86-82 on Sunday. Caballos were trailing by 6 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 28-21 charge of Aguilas, which allowed them to win the game. They made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Puerto Rican Nate Butler Lind (198-89, college: TCU) who led the winners and scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Jonathan King (198-90, college: Abil.Christian) accounted for 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for the winning side. American guard CJ Rodriguez (188, college: S.Nazarene) came up with 20 points and 4 steals and the former international swingman Anell Alexis (200-90, college: Marist, agency: Octagon Europe) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Caballos in the defeat. Four Aguilas and five Caballos players scored in double figures. Caballos' coach Victor Macias rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aguilas will meet at home Correcaminos (#5) in the next round. Caballos will play against Toros and hope to get finally their first victory.
