Second Stage Round 1: Reales LV - Metros STGO 77-90

An interesting game was played in La Vega where Metros STGO (#1) beat host Reales LV (#4) 90-77 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Metros STGO. Reales LV managed to win third quarter 30-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Metros STGO dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Reales LV's 36. American Robert Glenn (203-89, college: IUPUI) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and Victor Liz (188-86, agency: Basket Management Solutions) chipped in 20 points. At the losing side American power forward Ivan Johnson (203-84, college: CS San Bernar., agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized American Antonio Pena (204-86, college: Villanova) scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Metros STGO will meet Huracanes PP (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Reales LV will play against Huracanes PP and hope to win that game.
