Regular Season Round 1: IRAN - QATAR 81-49

Iran cruised past Qatar in the opening game at the Fiba Asia Challenge. The hosts dominated from start to finish in this one. Hamed Haddadi posted 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winning team. Iran used a 28:7 run in the first period to clear off. They secured a 25-point halftime lead. Iran kept Qatar at bay throughout the second half and marched to a well-deserved victory. Mohammad Jamshidi netted 14 points for the hosts. Mohamed Mohd and Mohammed Hassan answered with 11 points each for Qatar.
