Regular Season Round 1: Oostende - Laarne 67-70

Date: September 18, 2016
Very significant was Laarne's (#6) just 3-point road victory against KB D-Glas. KB D-Glas were very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. The guests were ahead by 3 points but lost the second period ending it with a 1-point deficit before their 14-10 run, which allowed them to win the game. The former international power forward Anne-Sophie Strubbe (184-90) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and swingman Steffi De Meyer (173-88) accounted for 15 points. Canadian Melissa Rondinelli (184-92) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and forward Marlon Delrue (180-96) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for KB D-Glas in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Laarne will play against R.Spirou Monceau (#12) in Charleroi in the next round which should be an easy win for them. KB D-Glas will play on the road against Tulikivi (#7) in Deerlijk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
