Regular Season Round 2: Halcones - Caballos 82-56

No shocking result in a game when Halcones (2-0) crushed at home Caballos (0-2) 82-56. The game without a history. Halcones led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Caballos' 36. Halcones players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Caballos were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Veronica Vega (-90) had a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international Maritzenia Bedoya chipped in 15 points during the contest. Marilu Martinez responded with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Gloria Martinez scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Halcones will play against Panteras in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Caballos will play against Aguilas (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
