Regular Season Round 2: TTT Riga - AZS UMCS 68-64

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Polish AZS UMCS (1-1) against Latvian TTT Riga. Visitors were defeated by TTT Riga 68-64. It looked good early as AZS UMCS took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then TTT Riga had a 23-13 second period charge getting the lead and AZS UMCS was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-68. TTT Riga brought some defensive toughness making 11 blocks. American forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) scored 14 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Sydney Carter (170-90, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 13 points during the contest. Five TTT Riga players scored in double figures. TTT Riga's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Australian forward Tess Madgen (180-90) responded with 25 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Nigerian forward Uju Ugoka (185-93, college: Virginia Tech, agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. TTT Riga will play against Avangard (#9) in Kyiv in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS UMCS will play at home against Tsmoki-Minsk (#11) to get more than just one victory in their record.
