Regular Season Round 2: Usti n/Labem - Svitavy 97-80

BK Usti nad Labem used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Svitavy 97-80 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by BK Usti nad Labem. Basketbal Svitavy managed to win fourth quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Usti nad Labem forced 25 Basketbal Svitavy turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Basketbal Svitavy's players. Forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) had a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 20 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Michal Sotnar (187-92) chipped in 14 points and 13 assists during the contest. American power forward Brett Roseboro (208-91, college: UMBC, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard T.J. Bannister (180-84, college: Liberty, agency: Inception Sports) scored 14 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BK Usti nad Labem will meet Prostejov (#7) on the road in the next round. Basketbal Svitavy will play against NH Ostrava (#5) and hope to win that game.
