Regular Season Round 1: Basket Kosice - Sokol H.K. 62-83

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Basket Kosice (0-1) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by Sokol Hradec Kralove (1-0) 83-62. David Sirek (195-91) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 assists for the winners and power forward Tomas Kirsbaum (205-82) chipped in 11 points. Four Sokol Hradec Kralove players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Jan Kratochvil (199-82) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Hradec Kralove will meet at home BK Loko Plzen (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Basket Kosice will play against GBA Sparta in Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
