Regular Season Round 3: Cyberdyne IR - Iwate Big Bulls 84-75

Rather predictable result when Cyberdyne IR (2-1) won against Iwate Big Bulls (0-3) in Tsukuba 84-75 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 31-16. But Iwate Big Bulls won second period 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a good game for American power forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Logan Stutz (205-88, college: Washburn) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Cyberdyne IR players scored in double figures. American center Donald Lawson (208-88, college: W.Michigan) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Koji Nagata (180-81) added 18 points in the effort for Iwate Big Bulls. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cyberdyne IR will face again Iwate Big Bulls (#6) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
