Regular Season Round 3: Rennes - Vitre 70-63

The most surprising game was a loss of Vitre (2-1) on the court of Union Rennes on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Union Rennes 70-63. Vitre trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 20-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 63-70 at the end of the game. It was a great evening for center Ludovic Negrobar (207-91) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Serbian swingman Vukan Zivkovic (199-91) helped adding 18 points. Union Rennes' coach Pascal Thibaud used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was guard Antoine Belkessa (186-88) with 10 points and 6 assists and Serbian power forward Sreten Knezevic (205-94) scored 16 points. Union Rennes is looking forward to face Angers BC (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Vitre will play against Orchesien BC (#7) and is hoping to win this game.
