Regular Season Round 3: Gries/Oberhoffen - GET Vosges 58-66

Gries/Oberhoffen was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Golbey 66-58. It looked good early as Gries/Oberhoffen took a 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then GET Vosges took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 8 points. 24 personal fouls committed by Gries/Oberhoffen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahima Sidibe (180-95) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American guard DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: Va.Wesleyan) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Slovakian power forward Justin Sedlak (206-87, college: Florida Tech) added 10 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Gries/Oberhoffen. Four Gries/Oberhoffen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. GET Vosges' next round opponent will be Lourdes-Tarbes (#12) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Gries/Oberhoffen will play against Quimper UJAP and hope to win that game.
