Regular Season Round 2: Palma II - Castelldefels 82-81

Important game to mention about took place in Palma. Palma II (1-0) saved a 1-point derby victory at home edging Castelldefels (0-1) 82-81 on Sunday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Castelldefels won third quarter 22-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Castelldefels 33-22 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Carlos Poyatos (207-94) who scored 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Guard Joan Reda (186-94) chipped in 23 points and 4 assists. Point guard David Haro (190-88) produced 18 points and 6 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Adria Vazquez (183-89) added 18 points and 4 steals respectively for the guests. Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Palma II will face Mollet in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Castelldefels will play against Barbera (#1) and hope to win that game.
