Regular Season Round 2: UKF Nitra - MBK Ruzomb. 48-60

Very expected game when UKF Nitra (0-2) was defeated at home by MBK Ruzomberok (2-0) 60-48. The game without a history. MBK Ruzomberok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. MBK Ruzomberok forced 24 UKF Nitra turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Canadian forward Taijah Campbell (190-94, college: Virginia Tech) notched a double-double by scoring 10 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) supported her with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 11 points and 10 rebounds by point guard Nikola Kovacikova (175-99) did not help to save the game for UKF Nitra. Linda Dubenova (188-98) added 9 points for the hosts. UKF Nitra's coach Pavol Horicka rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MBK Ruzomberok will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. UKF Nitra will play at home against Cassovia K. (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
