Regular Season Round 1: Energa Czarni - Polfarmex Kutno 78-79

Quite upsetting was Energa Czarni's (#5) home defeat in a game versus AZS Polfarmex who edged hosts 79-78. Energa Czarni was very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. The former international Dardan Berisha (191-88) fired 21 points for the winners. American guard Devante Wallace (196-92, college: High Point) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Jerel Blassingame (175-81, college: UNLV) produced 19 points and 8 assists and the other American import power forward David Kravish (208-92, college: California) added 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Energa Czarni players scored in double figures. Energa Czarni's coach Roberts Stelmahers tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. AZS Polfarmex will meet Stelmet (#6) in the next round. Energa Czarni will play against AZS Koszalin (#12) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
