Regular Season Round 3: Myrtia - L Alfas 83-49

Myrtia used a home court advantage and outscored the opponent from Alfas Del Pi 83-49 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Myrtia. L Alfas was better in fourth quarter 15-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding L Alfas to just 6 points in third quarter. Myrtia dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to L Alfas' 30. Myrtia forced 28 L Alfas turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including a 19-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by L Alfas' players. It was a good game for Jose Llorente who led his team to a victory with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Jorge Lledo (203-80) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Myrtia's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Belarusian power forward Ivan Zhauniarovich (205-86) answered with 10 points and 7 rebounds and Mario Lopez (195-97) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for L Alfas.
