Regular Season Round 4: Challans - CFBB 104-42

Vendee Challans can celebrate their first win this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat CFBB (0-4) 104-42. The game without a history. Vendee Challans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding CFBB to just 6 points in second quarter. Vendee Challans dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 24 and had 21 for 34 from the free-throw line, while CFBB only scored three points from the stripe. Vendee Challans forced 28 CFBB turnovers and outrebounded them 31-13 including a 19-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by CFBB's players. CFBB was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Demarco Cox (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import power forward Jason Jones (202-86, college: Northeastern St.) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Forward Ivan Fevrier (200-99) replied with 18 points and guard Theo Maledon (191-1) added 12 points in the effort for CFBB. CFBB's coach Jean-Aime Toupane gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vendee Challans (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. It was CFBB's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Vendee Challans will play against Gries/Oberhoffen (#16) in Bischwiller in the next round. CFBB will play at home against Rueil and hopes to get finally their first victory.
