Regular Season Round 4: RAC Basket - Lorient 92-85

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Lorient (2-2) was defeated on the road by fourteenth ranked Rueil (2-2) 92-85 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 12 points at the halftime before their 46-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Rueil outrebounded Lorient 43-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and American power forward Ron Anderson (205-89, college: S.Florida) who added 12 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) responded with 31 points and 9 rebounds (on 14-of-18 shooting from the field) and naturalized Central Africa guard Destin Damachoua (184-86, college: New Orleans) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rueil moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Lorient. Rueil will meet bottom-ranked CFBB (#18) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Lorient will play against Vitre (#3) and hope to secure a win.
