Regular Season Round 7: BK Opava - CEZ Nymburk 71-89

NBL top team - CEZ Nymburk (7-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked BK Opava (4-3) 89-71. CEZ Nymburk made 20-of-23 free shots (87.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Cuba forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. American guard Bryon Allen (193-92, college: George Mason) helped adding 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five CEZ Nymburk players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Martin Gniadek (203-90) responded with 19 points and forward Ludek Jurecka (198-83, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 14 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. CEZ Nymburk have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 7-0 record. BK Opava at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. CEZ Nymburk are looking forward to face bottom-ranked NH Ostrava (#12) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them. BK Opava will play against Basketbal Svitavy (#9) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
