Regular Season Round 4: Good Angels - MBK Ruzomb. 97-64

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated MBK Ruzomberok (2-1) in Kosice on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by fourth ranked Good Angels (3-1) 97-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBK Ruzomberok. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Good Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MBK Ruzomberok's 38 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Good Angels forced 23 MBK Ruzomberok turnovers and outrebounded them 39-12 including a 28-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. Good Angels looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by MBK Ruzomberok helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenia point guard Teja Oblak (172-90) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 assists. International point guard Barbora Balintova (175-94) contributed with 20 points and 5 assists (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. Good Angels' coach Peter Jankovic felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International forward Miroslava Mistinova (182-97) replied with 17 points and international center Eva Kmetova (188-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) added 15 points in the effort for MBK Ruzomberok. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Samorin. MBK Ruzomberok at the other side dropped to the fourth position with one game lost. Good Angels is looking forward to face UKF Nitra (#6) on the road in the next round. MBK Ruzomberok will play against Samorin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
