Semi-Finals Game 1: Gigantes - Indias 76-63

Gigantes overcame Indias to surge ahead in the series. Gigantes made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game, while Indias only scored seven points from the stripe. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Alexis Hornbuckle (180-85, college: Tennessee) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of her seven free throws) for the winners. Forward Markel Walker (185-90, college: UCLA) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. Gigantes' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Amanda Thompson (178-87, college: Oklahoma) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) added 14 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
