Regular Season Round 7: Svitavy - BK Decin 61-62

Important game to mention about took place in Svitavy. Fourth ranked BK Decin (5-2) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 9th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (2-5) 62-61 on Monday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. The former international power forward Pavel Houska (203-84, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard T.J. Bannister (180-84, college: Liberty, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 13 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and Croatia forward Jere Vucica (206-92, college: Miami, OH, agency: Court Side) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Basketbal Svitavy in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. BK Decin moved-up to third place, which they share with Prostejov. Basketbal Svitavy at the other side keeps the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with J.Hradec. BK Decin will play against Prostejov (#4) at home in the next round. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BK Opava (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
