Regular Season Round 2: Ratiopharm - Un.Olimpija 87-82

ratiopharm Ulm used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Ljubljana 87-82 on Wednesday night. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Un.Olimpija won fourth quarter 26-24. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. ratiopharm Ulm made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Un.Olimpija turnovers. Strangely Un.Olimpija outrebounded ratiopharm Ulm 38-26 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Power forward Raymar Morgan (202-88, college: Michigan St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points. Taylor Braun (201-91, college: N.Dakota St.) contributed with 11 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. ratiopharm Ulm's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: Metro St.) replied with 28 points and Devin Oliver (204-92, college: Dayton) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Un.Olimpija. Five ratiopharm Ulm and four Un.Olimpija players scored in double figures. ratiopharm Ulm will face Lokomotiv in Kuban in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Un.Olimpija will play at home against Hapoel Jerusalem and hope to win that game.
