Regular Season Round 5: SKK Siedlce - Legia W-wa 62-80

The biggest surprise of round 5 was guest Legia W-wa's (#3) easy road victory over SKK Siedlce (#5) 80-62 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SKK Siedlce. The game without a history. Legia W-wa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Tomasz Andrzejewski (204-79) who scored 26 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Grzegorz Malewski (200-84) chipped in 16 points. Guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) produced 15 points and point guard Marcin Plawucki (177-89, agency: Promotex) added 6 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. SKK Siedlce's coach Teohar Mollov rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Legia W-wa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain third place with 4-1 record behind leader Sokol Lancut, which they share with 3 other teams. SKK Siedlce at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. They share it with Pogon Prudnik. Legia W-wa is looking forward to face league's second-placed Spojnia in Stargard in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SKK Siedlce will play on the road against Notec Inowr. (#11) in Inowroclaw and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
