Regular Season Round 4: Iskra Svit - Kosice 83-82

The most exciting game of round 4 in the SBL took place in Svit. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 6th ranked Kosice (2-2) to third ranked Iskra Svit (3-1) 83-82 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Kosice. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 83-82. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Josh Fleming (198, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Serbian guard Radenko Pilcevic (188-86, agency: AproK Sports Group) replied with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists and the former international guard Milan Ziak (190-88) added 21 points and 4 assists in the effort for Kosice. Five Iskra Svit and four Kosice players scored in double figures. Iskra Svit maintains third position with 3-1 record behind leader Levice, which they share with Inter Bratislava. Kosice at the other side keeps the sixth place with two games lost. Iskra Svit is looking forward to face Handlova (#9) in MBK Handlova in the next round where they are favorite. Kosice will play at home against Nova Ves and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
