Regular Season Round 5: Gelisim - Afyon 74-78

The most interesting game of round 5 was a home defeat of 5th ranked Gelisim (3-2) to fourth ranked Afyon Bld (4-1) 78-74. It ended the two-game winning streak of Gelisim. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gelisim won fourth quarter 23-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Afyon Bld made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. Afyon Bld moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Gelisim at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Afyon Bld is looking forward to face Samsun (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gelisim will play against the league's leader Istanbulspor and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
