Regular Season Round 6: BAM Poprad - MBK Ruzomb. 44-64

The game in Poprad supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked MBK Ruzomberok (4-1) played at the court of 5th ranked BAM Poprad (2-4). MBK Ruzomberok did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 64-44 on Saturday. The game without a history. MBK Ruzomberok led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. MBK Ruzomberok forced 20 BAM Poprad turnovers. The former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center Eva Kmetova (188-87, agency: Regeneracom Sports) chipped in 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was Lucia Hadacova (185-95) with 14 points and 7 rebounds and forward Angelika Theiner (178-92) scored 10 points. BAM Poprad's coach Milan Cernicky rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. MBK Ruzomberok moved-up to second place, which they share with Good Angels. Loser BAM Poprad dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. MBK Ruzomberok will meet at home bottom-ranked Banska Bystrica (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BAM Poprad will play against UKF Nitra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
