Regular Season Round 5: Nanterre - Chalon 77-92

The most surprising game was the first loss of JSF Nanterre (4-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by eighth ranked Chalon/Saor (3-2) 92-77. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of JSF Nanterre. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. JSF Nanterre managed to win second period 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American players dominated the game. Point guard John Roberson (180-88, college: Texas Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points and 8 assists. Swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Chalon/Saor players scored in double figures. Point guard Chris Warren (178-88, college: Mississippi) answered with 20 points and 6 assists and Mykal Riley (198-85, college: Alabama) added 8 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for JSF Nanterre. Chalon/Saor moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. JSF Nanterre at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Pau-Lacq-Orthez. Chalon/Saor is looking forward to face Cholet Basket (#6) on the road in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against Limoges CSP Elite (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
