Regular Season Round 5: Handlova - Iskra Svit 90-86

The game between third ranked Iskra Svit (3-2) and ninth ranked Handlova (2-3) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Iskra Svit was defeated by Handlova in a tough game in MBK Handlova 86-90. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Iskra Svit. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Handlova looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Iskra Svit's players. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Handlova moved-up to seventh place. Iskra Svit at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Kosice. Handlova are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Nova Ves (#11) on the road in the next round. Iskra Svit will play against Karlovka (#9) in Bratislava and is hoping to win this game.
