Date: October 23, 2016
Undefeated leader Armani Milano delivered the fourth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they beat 12th ranked Brescia (1-3) 97-80. The game was mostly controlled by Armani Milano. Brescia managed to win third quarter 31-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Brescia 43-27 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Croatia swingman Krunoslav Simon (197-85) fired 26 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Slovenia swingman Zoran Dragic (196-89) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Lee Moore (193-95, college: UTEP) produced 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and his fellow American import forward Marcus Landry (201-85, college: Wisconsin) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Armani Milano have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Brescia dropped to the eleventh place with three games lost. They share the position with 5 other teams. Armani Milano are looking forward to face league's second-placed Juvecaserta in Caserta in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brescia will play on the road against Scandone AV (#4) in Avellino and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
