Regular Season Round 4: Desio - Orzinuovi GaGa 54-70

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Desio (2-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Orzinuovi GaGa (3-1) 70-54. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Orzinuovi GaGa looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Marco Bona (192-89, agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 6 assists and the former international Rodolfo Valenti (198-80) who added 5 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Filippo Politi (205-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds and forward Andrea Negri (193-88) scored 9 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Orzinuovi GaGa keeps a position of league leader, which they share with 16 other teams. Desio at the other side dropped to the seventh place with one game lost. Orzinuovi GaGa will meet at home Volpino AltoSeb. (#4) in the next round. Desio will play against Faenza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
