Rather expected game when 4th ranked Rybnik (3-2) was crushed at home by second ranked AZS AWF Mick. (5-1) 74-54 on Wednesday. AZS AWF Mick. dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Rybnik's 24. AZS AWF Mick. forced 21 Rybnik turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Rybnik was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Kamil Nowak (197-88) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Mariusz Piotrkowski (198-84) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was center Rafal Grzybek (202-94) with 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Tomasz Czajkowski (204-82) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS AWF Mick. have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in Group C with 5-1 record despite having the same number of points like the leader AZS PGd. Newly promoted Rybnik keeps the fourth place with two games lost. AZS AWF Mick. will face AZS PS Gliwice (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rybnik will play against Zaglebie (#12) in Sosnowiec and hope to win that game.
