There was a surprise result when eighth ranked Sokol Prazky (2-3) won against on the road 4th placed BK Loko Plzen (2-3) 62-53 on Friday. Center Jan Stepanek (190-83) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Tomas Bruha (213-88, college: Tulane) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Jaroslav Kovanda (203-82) answered with 8 points and 14 rebounds and forward Jaroslav Lejsek (198-90) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for BK Loko Plzen. BK Loko Plzen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol Prazky moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated BK Loko Plzen. Sokol Prazky will face Vysocina (#7) in Jihlava in the next round. BK Loko Plzen will play on the road against Slavoj BK Litomerice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
