Regular Season Round 4: Ginasio - Sangalhos 80-77

A very close game took place in Figueira da Foz between Ginasio and Sangalhos. Eighth ranked Ginasio (1-3) got a very close home victory over higher ranked Sangalhos (2-2). Ginasio managed to escape with a 3-point win 80-77 on Saturday evening. Sangalhos cut a 13-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. The former international guard Jose Costa (187-73) fired 31 points for the winners. The former international center Marco Goncalves (206-84) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Four Ginasio players scored in double figures. Swingman Emanuel Silva (188-79) produced 8 points and 5 assists and forward Nuno Bizarro (192-80) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Sangalhos' coach Francisco Gradeco let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Ginasio left bottom position moving up to sixth place in Group North, which they share with Sanjoanense and Guifoes. Loser Sangalhos keep the third position with two games lost. They share it with Esgueira and Academico FC. Ginasio will meet Sanjoanense (#6) in the next round. Sangalhos will play against the league's second-placed Vasco and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
