Regular Season Round 6: Tenerife Naut. - La Roda 82-78

There was a surprise result in Santa Cruz where fifth ranked Tenerife Naut. (4-1) beat top-ranked La Roda (5-1) 82-78 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 26-21 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was point guard Ayoze Alonso (187-91) who scored 24 points and 4 assists. Cuba power forward Georffri Silvestre (202-79) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Tenerife Naut.'s coach Santi Lucena used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Tanner Samson (193, college: Elon) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Norman Rey (203-87) added 19 points respectively. Four La Roda players scored in double figures. Tenerife Naut. moved-up to fourth place in Group B. Loser La Roda still keeps top position with one game lost. Tenerife Naut. will face Viten Fuen. (#16) in Madrid in the next round which should be an easy win for them. La Roda will play at home against CB Guadalajara (#13) and hope to win that game.
