Regular Season Round 5: Gimle Pride - Ullern 51-72

An interesting game for Ullern (6-0) which played road game in Bergen against 4th placed Gimle Pride (1-3). Leader Ullern had an easy win 72-51. The game without a history. Ullern led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international power forward Tori Halvorsen (183-88, college: American) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and the former international guard Jeanine Flaaten (168-85) accounted for 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Josefin Winther (180-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Solveig Mildestvedt (165-98) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Gimle Pride in the defeat. Gimle Pride's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Ullern. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-0 record. Loser Gimle Pride keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Hoybraten. Ullern will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Gimle Pride will play against Ulriken (#3) in Bergen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
