Regular Season Round 9: Toyota A. - Toyota B SR 72-59

Very expected game when 6th ranked Toyota B SR (4-3) lost to leader Toyota A. (7-0) in Nagoya 59-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Toyota A.. Toyota B SR was better in second period 12-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Toyota B SR 44-33 including 21 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for center Mori Binge (180-88) who led her team to a victory with 10 points and 9 rebounds. The former international guard Yuko Oga (170-82) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Power forward Sari Osabe (174-87) answered with 10 points and the former international swingman Masami Honda (176-91) added 9 points in the effort for Toyota B SR. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Toyota A.. They maintain second place with 7-0 record behind leader JX-Eneos S. Toyota B SR at the other side keeps the sixth position with three games lost. Toyota A. will face again Toyota B SR (#7) in Aichi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
