Regular Season Round 5: EA7 Armani - JuveCaserta 100-80

An interesting game for Armani Milano (5-0) which hosted in Milano second-ranked Juvecaserta (3-2). Leader Armani Milano had an easy win 100-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Juvecaserta. The game was mostly controlled by Armani Milano. Juvecaserta was better in third quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Armani Milano dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Juvecaserta's 40. Armani Milano forced 20 Juvecaserta turnovers and outrebounded them 32-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists. International Awudu Abass (199-93, agency: Players Group) stepped up and scored 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) chipped in 16 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Mitchell Watt (208-89, college: Buffalo) responded with 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and the other American import swingman Josh Bostic (196-87, college: Findlay, OH) scored 18 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Armani Milano have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record. Juvecaserta at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Armani Milano will play against Auxilium TO (#11) in Torino in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Juvecaserta will play at home against Dolomiti En. TR (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
