Very important is a home loss of second ranked Latvian Liepaja/Triobet (2-2) against fifth ranked Lithuania Nevezis (2-2) on Wednesday night. Host Liepaja/Triobet was crushed by Nevezis in Liepaja 94-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Liepaja/Triobet. The game without a history. Nevezis led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Liepaja/Triobet was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91) who scored that evening 23 points and 5 rebounds and center Karolis Petrukonis (212-87, college: Clemson) supported him with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 15 points and 7 rebounds by center Davis Rozitis (213-90, college: Hawaii) did not help to save the game for Liepaja/Triobet. American point guard Lateef McMullan (180-90, college: Portland St.) added 12 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nevezis moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Liepaja/Triobet. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
