Regular Season Round 3: Gaziantep - Peja 74-56

Gaziantep used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Peje 74-56 on Wednesday night. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 39-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Gaziantep dominated on the defensive end, holding Peja to just 5 points in third quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for American point guard Will Cherry (185-91, college: Montana) who led his team to a victory with 10 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Canadian-American guard Andrew Rautins (193-86, college: Syracuse) contributed with 12 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Gaziantep players scored in double figures. American swingman Lamarcus Reed (196-88, college: Texas Arlington) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and the other American import forward Noah Dahlman (201-89, college: Wofford) added 11 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Peja. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Gaziantep will face AEK (#4) in Larnaca in the next round. Peja will play at home against UBT Cluj Napoca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
