Rather expected game when 7th ranked GBA Sparta (2-4) was crushed on the road by fourth ranked Nymburk B (4-2) 99-63 on Friday. Nymburk B outrebounded GBA Sparta 41-27 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by GBA Sparta's players. Forward Matej Svoboda (200-96) scored 36 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international center Martin Peterka (205-95) chipped in 23 points and 14 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) during the contest. The best for the losing side was Slovakian David Javorsky (197-99) with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and forward Michal Kozak (202-98) scored 11 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nymburk B have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with USK Praha B. Loser GBA Sparta keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Nymburk B will face Basket Kosice (#6) on the road in the next round. GBA Sparta will play against Sokol Pisek and hope to win that game.
