We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked Olomouc Bbal (3-3) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Olomouc SK (3-3) 79-64 on Friday. Olomouc SK outrebounded Olomouc Bbal 42-26 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olomouc Bbal was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Pavel Novak (199-83) had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Roman Cernosek (187-78) chipped in 20 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Jakub Hanus (192-95) with 16 points and Jiri Dedek (190-95) scored 11 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Olomouc SK moved-up to fifth place in Group B, which they share with Olomouc Bbal and Ostrava. Olomouc Bbal lost third consecutive game. Olomouc SK will face Pardubice (#9) on the road in the next round. Olomouc Bbal will play against Ostrava (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
