Regular Season Round 3: Guangsha L. - Xinjiang FT 113-118

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (2-1) in Hangzhou on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Xinjiang Flying Tigers (3-0) 118-113. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Zhejiang Guangsha Lions turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Xinjiang Flying Tigers made 7 blocks. 25 personal fouls committed by Zhejiang Guangsha Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American-Bulgaria point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) who led his team to a victory scoring 41 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 9 assists. American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) helped adding 20 points and 13 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Courtney Fortson (180-88, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import power forward Elijah Holman (208-89, college: Detroit Mercy, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Xinjiang Flying Tigers is looking forward to face Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#13) in Hangzhou in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Zhejiang Guangsha Lions will play on the road against Qingdao Eagles (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
