Regular Season Round 8: Ratiopharm - Telekom Bsk 93-70

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked ratiopharm Ulm (8-0) outleveled at home 5th ranked Telekom Baskets (5-3) 93-70 on Saturday. ratiopharm Ulm dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Telekom Baskets' 38. ratiopharm Ulm looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) who scored 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). Guard Chris Babb (196-90, college: Iowa St.) chipped in 12 points. Four ratiopharm Ulm players scored in double figures. Power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) produced 13 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Josh Mayo (181-87, college: Ill.-Chicago, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ratiopharm Ulm have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 8-0 record behind leader Brose Bask. Loser Telekom Baskets dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. ratiopharm Ulm will meet Science City Jena (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Telekom Baskets will play against Braunschweig (#17) and hope to secure a win.
