Regular Season Round 4: Neuchatel - Boncourt 66-78

9th ranked Neuchatel (1-3) was defeated at home by eighth ranked Boncourt (2-2) with the biggest margin this round 78-66. It looked good early as Neuchatel took a 2-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Boncourt had a 28-17 second period charge getting the lead and Neuchatel was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 66-78. Boncourt made 21-of-27 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Neuchatel turnovers. It was a very good performance for American guard Trey Sumler (188, college: W.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Kinu Rochford (195-90, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: HMS) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Boncourt players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and American swingman Durand Johnson (198-92, college: St.John's) added 14 points in the effort for Neuchatel. Boncourt moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Neuchatel at the other side keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Boncourt's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Winterthur (#11) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Neuchatel will play against Lausanne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
