The game in Bratislava supposed to be also worth to mention about. Third ranked MBK Ruzomberok (6-1) played at the court of 6th ranked Slovan (2-6). MBK Ruzomberok smashed Slovan 79-37. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Slovan's 22. MBK Ruzomberok forced 23 Slovan turnovers and outrebounded them 36-16 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for MBK Ruzomberok especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Slovan's players. Canadian forward Taijah Campbell (190-94, college: Virginia Tech) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. Center Renata Talajkova (190-81) replied with 9 points and Simona Marcova (184-94) added 2 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Slovan. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MBK Ruzomberok have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 6-1 record behind leader Piestanske C. Slovan lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with six games lost. MBK Ruzomberok's next round opponent will be league's leader Piestanske C. in Piestany and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slovan will play on the road against UKF Nitra (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
