Regular Season Round 7: Innova Chef - Naron 68-87

There was a small surprise when twelfth ranked Naron (2-3) crushed 9th ranked Innova Chef (2-3) in Zamora 87-68 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 34-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Naron made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for American guard Rob Brandenberg (188-92, college: VCU) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Jorge Aller (195-97) contributed with 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Naron players scored in double figures. American forward Dionte Adams (201-94, college: Hampton) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Senegalese center Alioune Senghor (200-96) added 16 points in the effort for Innova Chef. Innova Chef's coach tested eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Naron moved-up to ninth place in Group A-B, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Innova Chef. Naron will face Vigo VGO (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
